Before 1993, the Scottish Games community was scoring its Heavy Events comps by hand - using nothing more than pencil and paper.

There are eight events in a Games and, at that time, six classes competing. Often it was an hour or more after the competition was over before the athletes knew who had won.

Today, the their scorekeeper enters results for a completed event in less than 5 minutes - including the printing of an interim results sheet.

Athletes now are able to see the impact of their performance in the just finished event on their overall placing.

In addition, the announcer can provide real-time comments about close competitions as they evolve. The following are links to each of the various features of this program.

Scottish Highland Athletics Scoring and Performance Program

	Games History and Management Maintains a list of all Games in the database. Allows printing of results, announcer lists, rosters, shirt lists and best throws for each class.
	Games Identification Identifies the name, location, sanction, score keeper and points system.
	Roster Setup and Management Allows assignment of classes to a roster and athletes to a class. Also allows assignment of a judge for each roster.
	Class Name, Implement and Time Management Each class might use different weighted implements and each event starts and ends at different times. These are recorded for later comparison of results.
	Results Management Provides tools for event results entry, event tie breaking, automated points and placing calculations, printing of performance certificates and class results printouts.
	Results Entry Spreadsheet like event entry table. Auto ranks athletes based on performance.
	Membership Management Provides for collection of athlete address, clan affiliation, tartan, age and class information.
	Athlete Personal Histories For each athlete in the database, a complete list of all their Games can be viewed or printed.
	Athlete PR Ranking Provides relative performance ranking based on Personal Records - for all Games in database or for one year for various classes.
