eFLEET HELP
Define Program Defaults
It is no fun to have to constantly enter the same information. For that reason, eFLEETkeeps track of a few important items and automatically fills these in for you at the right time. These are:
  • Average Cost Per Gallon for fuel stored in your own bulk storage tanks
  • Service Interval Periods
  • Safety Inspection Interval

To view or change the defaults, click the Defaults option on the Setup menu (as seen here).

When you click this option, the following window will open (as seen below):

This is the System Defaults window. Each field is described below:
Oil Interval
Enter the typical number of miles between oil change services. Not all Fleet Units will use this interval but most will. Putting the typical interval in this block will automatically enter this value into each new Fleet Unit record as it is newly created. Then, if the interval is not correct for this one Fleet Unit, simply change it. Diff. Interval Just like the Oil Interval, enter the typical number of miles between differential services.
Lube Interval Just like the Oil Interval, enter the typical number of miles between lubrication services.
Filter Interval Just like the Oil Interval, enter the typical number of miles between filter services.
Trans Interval Just like the Oil Interval, enter the typical number of miles between transmission services. BIT Interval Most Fleet Units that require the CHP Bi-Annual Inspection of Terminal (BIT) inspections will be on a 90-day interval. Therefore, the typical interval would be 90 days. However, it might be possible that you are on a different schedule.
Alert Triggers

eFLEET provides an Alert System where you are warned when certain things are about to happen. Since you enter mileage with each fueling, the program knows (fairly closely) what the mileage is for a particular fleet unit. eFLEET also knows when certain routine maintenance is due.

For each of the five trigger defaults, enter the number of miles BEFORE the routine maintenance mileage that you would like to be alerted

Cost Per Gal.

If (and only if) you fuel your fleet from your own bulk storage tanks, enter the average cost per gallon for the fuel in the tank. Then, each time a Fleet Unit fuel record is inserted into the database, this value will be entered into the record automatically.

DO NOT put anything in this field if you fuel your Fleet Units at off-site facilities.
