This the period of time that you and I get to know each other. I want you to feel confident in my skills and knowledge. I want to get to know your good habits and your bad habits. I want to be able to complement you as you progress through your training. Every one is motivated and pushed to their limits differently. I want to know what you really want to accomplish and how far you can (or need to be) pushed. Only then can I guarantee that, if we work together, that you will achieve your fitness goals. Orientation involves taking your weight, calculating your body composition and testing your flexibility. Orientation includes learning about your family medical history, measuring your resting heart rate, teaching you how to take your own heart rate and setting the maximum and optimum zones for your workouts based on your goals. You will be tested on you upper body flexibility (stretches) and lower body flexibility (sit and reach test). You will be taught how to stretch. |
